In the town of Os de Balaguer, under the Montsec sky, the clearest in Catalonia and unique in the world for observing the stars, at Torrons i Mel Alemany we are dedicated, on the one hand, to source selection, selecting from among the honeys of the best beekeepers on the peninsula and, on the other, to the production of turron with the traditional recipe from five generations ago; five generations of honey and turron that have made us the most awarded State company at the Great Taste Awards (2022), the international Oscars of gourmet food.

Taste Profile: Bitter-sweet, complex, and savory with notes of leather, tobacco, and smoke and some salty notes.

Dark amber, often with reddish tones; it tends to remain liquid for longer due to high fructose levels

Richer in vitamins (B & C) and minerals compared to lighter honeys, along with high pollen content.

Aroma :Floral with a clear dry woody component

 Contains high tannin levels (naturally occurring polyphenol compouns) , which can potentially offer antioxidant properties. Some studies indicate it can assist with energy and general wellness.

Ideal with mature, pungent cheeses (gorgonzola, pecorino), nuts, pears, or in savory sauces and marinades.

Origin: Catalonia, Galicia, Extremadura, Castile and Leon and Asturias.
